Home Emergency Cover
Home Emergency Cover
These days a typical home insurance policy only covers you for ‘disaster’ risks such as flooding, storm damage, fire, theft, etc. Often these problems can cause more structural damage and knock-on effects whilst you’re waiting for the claim to be settled – which can take sometime! With a home emergency insurance policy, you have a qualified tradesman available at short notice who can prevent the emergency from getting any worse and from causing you further distress. This insurance cover typically includes damage to roofing, security issues, pest infestation, gas/water pipes and your cooking system. |

Just a boiler service or boiler breakdown? |
Either way we compare both for you. A boiler service, like an annual car service, will give you the increased confidence that your boiler is working properly and should see you through the cold winter months. This includes a strip down of your boiler appliance and a flue gas analysis, ensuring all parts are working effectively. Or perhaps boiler breakdown cover? Just like many of us opt for car breakdown insurance in addition to our annual car service – this works in a similar way. With all of the work we give our boiler over the course of the year, there’s always the risk of overload. With boiler maintenance policies, you have someone to call if and when you need it |

Central heating cover as an addition to your boiler service |
Central heating cover is usually sought as addition to boiler insurance. As you’d expect boiler insurance covers the boiler and its control, whereas central heating protection covers all of its extensions including radiators and plumbing. Quite often a central heating problem can be independent of the boiler and a simple boiler-only plan won’t cover it. For an extra bit of assurance, central heating cover may be well worth considering. |

Who needs central heating cover? |
The main question is whether or not it’s your responsibility to take care of the central heating. If you’re renting - this is your landlord’s problem. If you’re a landlord, you’ll be able to find a comparison of our specialist boiler, central cover and CP12 checks under our landlords section. |
